About
This multimode Hall-effect electric thruster is designed for the propulsion system of spacecraft with mass up to 3000 kg. It provides 80 or 115 mN thrust at 1.35 or 2.0 kW power consumption respectively, with a specific impulse of more than 1550 s. It features cathodes based on W-Ba emitters and was flight-qualified on the geostationary spacecraft Express-A4 (launched 10 June 2002), accumulating more than 2000 hours of in-orbit operation. Mass is 5.2 kg, designed for more than 4000 hours service life.
