About

This low-power Hall-effect electric thruster is designed for the propulsion system of spacecraft with mass up to 500 kg. It produces 18 mN thrust at 350 W power consumption with a specific impulse of 1450 s. High efficiency at low power makes it suitable for small satellite missions. It was flight-tested on GSAT-9, launched 13 May 2017, where the thruster was used by purpose. Mass is 2 kg with a designed service life of more than 3500 hours. Released in 2004.
