About
The Electrolysis Unit produces oxygen by water electrolysis for spacecraft oxygen supply systems. It generates 99.9% pure oxygen at 25–160 L/h capacity, operating at 10–70 A current. Total mass is 30 kg. Designed specifically for zero-gravity operation with gas-tight solid polymer membrane-electrode and membrane-catalytic units. Features tightness, absence of aggressive chemical components, and corrosion-resistant electrodes. Released in 2007 with 7-year service life, 12-month delivery. Not yet flight qualified. Adaptable.
