About

The GATE Jetpack is a high-thrust chemical propulsion system from Gate Space, built for satellites, capsules and landing vehicles. It uses long-duration, storable propellants (C2H6 ethane and N2O nitrous oxide) fed through 4 thrusters to enable fast orbit transfers, mission reconfigurations, collision avoidance maneuvers, in-orbit refueling, and safe deorbiting. The system is designed with a plug-and-play form factor that integrates smoothly into ESPA-class satellites, minimizing development effort, reducing integration time and cost, and accelerating time to space. Its modular, efficient architecture is engineered for scalability, suitable for a single spacecraft or a full constellation, offering an affordable path to extend satellite capabilities. Thrusters support continuous, pulsed, cold-gas, and deep-throttling (1:10) operating modes. The Jetpack is offered in three sizes with total impulse ranging from 36,000 Ns up to 140,000 Ns, module masses from 36 kg to 105 kg, and support for payload masses from 100 kg to 200 kg, delivering delta-v from 300 m/s up to 500 m/s depending on configuration. It mounts via 15-inch or 24-inch separation systems compatible with Rideshare and Starlink half/full deployer ports (or larger). Lead time is approximately 9 months, with pricing starting at €450,000 for the smallest variant. Development is backed by years of hands-on rocket engine experience, including over 8,000 cold-flow and hot-fire tests across various propulsion system configurations.
