About

Haven Demo served as an in-space testbed for Haven-1 space station technologies, successfully deploying from the Bandwagon-4 rideshare mission on November 2, 2025, and was deorbited on February 4, 2026. The mission’s primary objective was to validate the performance and quality of components built in-house by Vast and its partners ahead of launching Haven-1. Key systems and technologies tested included star trackers, a maximum power point tracker, 4K cameras, ultra-high frequency antennas, S-Band radios and antennas, satellite to satellite L-Band radio, flight computers and networking devices, sun sensors, a deployable solar array, power distribution unit, inertial measurement units, batteries, an Ethane tank, Impulse Saiph thrusters, an X-band multi-antenna dome, a Nitrous oxide tank, cold gas thrusters, and GPS antennas. Insights from the Haven Demo mission will inform the continued development of Haven-1, the world’s first commercial space station, and Haven-2, the proposed successor to the International Space Station.
