About

The High-speed X-band Downlink Transmitter provides a reliable high-throughput communication channel from spacecraft to ground stations, supporting up to 800 Mbps throughput at 8.05–8.5 GHz with 8 W output power. It supports QPSK, 8PSK, and 16APSK modulation with a customizable LVDS data interface (two ports with 4 pairs each). Mass is 1.8 kg, power consumption 70 W, radiation tolerance >6 krad at component level. Released in 2014 with 7-year service life, 12-month delivery time, customizable. Flight heritage: previous-generation transmitter on ISS, AIST-2D, and other satellites.
