The Instrument Control Unit (ICU) developed by Kayser Space represents the core electronic architecture behind spaceborne scientific instruments. It enables controlled operation of experiments in complex, mission-critical space environments, managing power distribution, command handling, data acquisition, system monitoring, and communication interfaces between the instrument and the spacecraft.

The ICU features a modular and flexible architecture, is space-qualified, and can be customised for specific payload requirements. It supports both automated and crew-assisted operations and is optimised for reliability across all mission phases.

Kayser also develops Thruster Pointing and Pressure Regulation Electronics (TPPRE), a specialised control unit for satellite electrical propulsion subsystems positioned between the on-board computer and propulsion actuators. The TPPRE provides closed-loop control of xenon valve actuation using an automatic pressure-sensor-based algorithm and handles thruster positioning for satellite attitude and orbit control. It is available in hot and cold redundancy configurations and supports double failure tolerance designs for deep space missions.
