The KosmoLab 12U LIGHT deployer is touted as the most lightweight deployer available, aiming to allow for a larger useful space satellite payload instead of auxiliary deployer mass. It features a unique KosmoLab construction utilizing composites, which significantly reduces its mass while providing extended areas for CubeSat spacing. The design ensures both longitudinal and lateral clamping of the CubeSat. The “LIGHT” series deployers are adaptable to modifications based on specific requirements of a space satellite; customers can provide nonstandard CubeSat parameters for an optimal solution. It is designed for CubeSats up to 26 kg and offers a rapid separation time of less than 1 second.
