The Long March 5 is Chinas largest operational heavy-lift launch vehicle, developed by CALT to support deep-space exploration and large satellite deployments. Using LOX/LH2 upper stages and LOX/kerosene booster stages, it delivers 25,000 kg to LEO and 14,000 kg to GTO. CZ-5 has launched the Tianwen-1 Mars mission, the Chane-5 and Chane-6 lunar sample return missions, and all three modules of the Tiangong space station.
