About
The Lusospace MTQ140 is a demisable magnetorquer designed for attitude control and reaction wheel offloading on small and medium-sized spacecraft. Generating ±140 A·m² magnetic dipole in a 620 × 90 × 60 mm enclosure, it is designed to burn up completely on re-entry. Manufactured and tested in-house from ITAR/EAR-free components, the MTQ140 is fully qualified per ECSS and MIL standards at TRL 8. Flight heritage on ESA Space Rider. Features two coils, less than 175 ms time constant, and operates from up to ±15 V.
