The Manual Deployer of Pico and Nanosatellites is a device specifically designed for the manual launch of pico- and/or nanosatellites by astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) during extravehicular activity (EVA). Beyond its deployment function, it serves to deliver pico/nano satellites to the ISS and protect them during transportation by cargo vehicles, as well as providing support for onboard station work. The product was released in 2018 and has a guaranteed service life of 5 years, with an estimated production/delivery time of 6 months. While it does not have full flight qualification, a prototype has undergone production and ground tests. The manufacturer offers the possibility to adapt the product to customer requirements. It is supplied with a remote control, and there is an option to develop and supply a launch device for automatic launch in any orbit. The device is capable of deploying payloads up to 5 kg with a volume of up to 100 x 125 x 314 mm, achieving a linear separation velocity of 0.25 to 0.50 m/s and an angular velocity in separation of less than or equal to 2 deg./s.
