About

The Micro Aerospace Solutions MASIMU01 is a low-cost, compact MEMS-based Inertial Measurement Unit designed for small satellite attitude detection. Flight heritage on the University of Texas FASTRAC microsatellite (Air Force Research Lab). The 40g bare board (80g with enclosure) unit consumes 0.6W from a 5-12V supply and communicates via RS-485 serial interface. Gyroscope drift is 1.0 deg/min. Designed as a core component of MAS’s small satellite ADCS alongside sun/horizon sensors and MAS micro-thrusters.
