About
The MDM Microwave Varactors are uncased variable capacitors with beam terminals based on thin semiconductor and dielectric membranes, designed for receiving/transmitting paths of space systems and discrete phase shifters of Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA) in space-based location and communication systems. Nominal capacitance range 1–500 pF, operating frequency >50 GHz, breakdown voltage >40 V, dielectric loss tangent <0.01, time between failures 100,000 hours, capacitor thickness 15 µm, mass 0.003 g. Applications: aviation, space, radio engineering, microelectronics, civil industries. Released 2013.
