About

The Microwave LSI Frequency Synthesizer with VCO is a Silicon-Germanium BiKMOS VLSI chip designed for the construction of radio transceivers. It is engineered to produce a stable high-frequency signal in the 375-6000 MHz range, characterized by a low level of phase noise and a small tuning step, without requiring an external Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO). The chip was released in 2014 and has a guaranteed service life of 3 years. It is not flight qualified and cannot be adapted to customer requirements. Key features include an integrated voltage-controlled broadband generator (VCO), a programmable current key current, an output control multiplexer, and control via a 3-wire serial bus. The chip finds application in a wide array of systems, including broadband communication systems such as GSM, WiMAX, WLAN, DVB-T/S/H, and CDMA, as well as radar, electronic warfare, state recognition, and navigation systems. Crucially for space applications, it is also suitable for communication ground, aviation, and satellite measuring equipment. Its functional analog is the ADF4350 from Analog Devices Inc.
