MMOD (Micrometeoroid Orbital Debris) Shields are specialized hybrid blankets designed for the aerospace industry to safeguard vulnerable surfaces from high-velocity particles encountered in space. Aerospace Fabrication and Materials (AFM) custom-designs these armor-like blankets to protect spacecraft and satellites from the effects of debris penetration, reducing the risk of damage caused by micrometeoroids and orbital debris during space exploration. In addition to their protective capabilities, these advanced MMOD shields offer passive thermal control, ensuring operational efficiency and helping your craft remain operational and efficient amidst the increasing challenges of space debris.
