AstraWrap™ HT

AstraWrap™ HT is a prefabricated layup specifically engineered for higher temperature applications, capable of withstanding environments up to 500°F, commonly encountered in various space missions. This advanced thermal insulation solution integrates multiple layers of ultrathin 0.3 mil (8 µm) polyimide film, meticulously separated by a lightweight, low-conducting Dacron netting. To ensure superior thermal performance, the polyimide film is coated with aluminum on both sides. The Dacron netting, made from a lightweight scrim, is crucial for minimizing overall weight and reducing layer-to-layer conductivity. Standard configurations of AstraWrap™ HT are available in 10-foot lengths with custom widths up to 48 inches. Customers can choose from standard layups featuring 10, 15, or 20 reflector layers, with further customization options available to meet specific project requirements. This product is ideal for rocket insulation, deep space probes, lunar landers and rovers, scientific and mechanical instruments on spacecraft, space station laboratories and infrastructure, spacecraft bus structures, spacecraft TVAC testing, lunar/planetary orbiters & landers, human spaceflight, cargo spacecraft, space stations, launch vehicles, and satellites of all sizes.
