About
AstraWrap™ delivers enhanced thermal performance for aerospace needs. It is a custom prefabricated layup of multilayer insulation, combining multiple layers of ultra-thin 0.25 mil (6 µm) polyester film separated by lightweight, low-conducting polyester netting. The polyester film is coated with aluminum on both sides for high thermal performance, and the netting is made of a lightweight scrim to minimize weight and layer-to-layer conductivity. This scrim wrap is primarily suited for lower temperature applications that do not exceed 250°F. Standard configurations come in a length of 10 feet and a width of 48 inches, with custom widths of up to 54 inches also available. Standard layups come with 10, 15, and 20 reflector layers, but they can also be customized to fit specific thermal performance requirements. AstraWrap™ Super100 consists of the AstraWrap™ layup in a length of 100 feet.
