About
The Xenon Feed System (XFS) is specifically engineered for integration into Electric Propulsion Systems that utilize Hall-effect thrusters. Its primary functions are to reduce high-pressure xenon gas to the required operating pressure for the thrusters and to precisely control the mass flow rates of xenon into these electrical propulsion units. A significant portion of the XFS components, including solenoid valves, an accumulator tank, flow restrictors, and a fill and drain valve, are designed and manufactured in-house. This in-house production capability helps to shorten manufacturing times and allows for the customization of the feed system to meet specific mission parameters and requirements.
