About
The ICE Cube On-Board Computer Unit (OBCU) is a radiation-tolerant flight computer developed by N7 Space for the ESA/CERN ICE Cube experiment — a high-energy particle physics detector deployed on the International Space Station. The OBCU is built around a LEON3 SPARC V8 processor (the standard ESA space processor) running RTEMS, with SpaceWire and CAN interfaces for integration with ISS infrastructure and experiment payloads. The design features radiation-tolerant memory management and watchdog recovery for reliable long-duration operation in the ISS radiation environment. N7 Space delivered both hardware and the complete software stack.
