About
The Universal Wireless Tester (UWT), jointly developed by NOFFZ and National Instruments (NI), is a flexible, cost-effective non-signaling RF test platform addressing the growing need for parallel, high-channel-count test solutions as wireless standards proliferate in vehicles, smart-home, and IoT applications. It provides non-signaling verification of modern cellular and connectivity standards including C-V2X, 5G, 802.11ax, BLE, and UWB. The UWT reduces test time through parallel testing of multiple DUTs, automatic RF port routing, and automatic resource utilization. The system is built on an open, scalable, software-centric NI PXI platform and can be upgraded with an additional analyzer and generator to support up to four transceivers for higher throughput, while automatic reassignment between test adapters and transceivers minimizes downtime for maintenance or calibration. Core to the architecture is the NOFFZ Universal Switch Matrix (UMX), an 8×32 RF switch matrix with integrated DC load emulation and voltage/current measurement, supporting high antenna counts and large production volumes.
