The SM02 is a 2U CubeSat structure offered by NPC Spacemind, designed to provide a robust and versatile platform for small satellite missions. Its main features include a 2U CubeSat form factor, support for up to 8 deployment switches, and configurable board stacks, allowing for flexible integration of various subsystems. The structure measures 227.0 x 100.0 x 100.0 mm without the kill switches (KS). A key design aspect is the independence of the PCB stack assembly from the main structure, simplifying integration and maintenance. It is compatible with SPM Solar Panels as well as panels from multiple other vendors, offering flexibility in power system design. The SM02 also boasts PC104 and PC104 PLUS compatibility, which are common standards for CubeSat avionics. For enhanced durability, the structure incorporates helicoil inserts. It comes as a standard structure with assembly screws and includes two 1U stack assembly standard sets. Optional 1U intermediate rings are available for further customization. The structure can accommodate up to 4 stand-off kill switches and up to 4 rail switches, ensuring mission safety and deployment reliability.
