About
The SP8X is a solar panel specifically engineered for use with 8U/16U CubeSat structures. It incorporates high-efficiency triple junction UTJ solar cells to maximize power generation in space environments. The panel is designed to be compatible with the XY side of CubeSats. Beyond power generation, the SP8X integrates several sensors, including a digital temperature sensor, NTC, two coarse sun sensors, an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), and a magnetic sensor, providing valuable data for satellite health monitoring and attitude determination. It offers alternative solar cell connection options and includes an RBF (Remove Before Flight) feature. Power output is delivered via four parallel picoblade power connectors. This comprehensive design makes the SP8X a versatile solution for CubeSat power and basic sensing needs.
