About
The Oxford Space Systems Deployable Offset Reflector Antenna is a cost competitive, reduced complexity alternative to current architectures. The patented self-synchronised design reduces both mass and complexity as well as offering some unique features that significantly reduce single point failure modes during deployment. This architecture provides a step change in capability for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) smallsats operating in low Earth orbit (LEO). Offset antennas are scalable from 3.5m to 12m in diameter and utilise Oxford Space Systems’ proprietary composite membrane reflector surface. Key features include Stowage Efficient design, Low Mass, Tuneable and Scalable capabilities, Single Shot Deployment, and a High Performance Membrane Reflector Surface. It also offers Spotlight Mode Imaging and features an Outer-Hoop/Truss.
