About

The Optical Glass product is a cerium-doped protective glass plate (optical glass K-208, per Russian standard OST3-3677-82) designed to protect solar cell photo-electric converters from outer-space environmental factors including UV radiation, charged-particle bombardment, and thermal cycling. The glass is available in three thicknesses (0.27 mm, 0.12 mm, and 0.06 mm; or 0.17 mm) and in a standard cell-sized format (80.5 × 40.5 mm) that matches the GaInP2/GaAs/Ge triple-junction solar element product.
