About
The PA1 Power Amplifier for Helmholtz Coils is designed to supply the necessary current to Helmholtz coil assemblies, enabling the generation of precise magnetic fields. It also features the capability to apply a DC offset current to the coils, a function typically used to cancel out ambient magnetic fields. The amplifier allows for additional electronic adjustment of scaling and orthogonality, which contributes to generating high-precision magnetic fields with excellent orthogonality accuracy. The PA1 operates from a standard mains AC supply and is fan-cooled. It incorporates a self-resetting thermal shut-down mechanism to prevent damage from overheating, ensuring reliable and safe operation. This product is an integral part of Bartington Instruments’ Helmholtz Control System.
