About
Paragon Space Development Corporation’s xRAD™ (Extruded RADiator) is a patented thermal control radiator technology for spacecraft active thermal control systems. The xRAD™ design uses extruded aluminum panels with integral coolant channels as ‘building blocks,’ eliminating the structural and thermal inefficiencies associated with traditional bonded radiator structures. The resulting panels are cost-effective, structurally efficient, and thermally optimized for rejection of spacecraft waste heat to space. Paragon manufactures xRAD™ radiators for Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser spacecraft, where multiple shipsets will be assembled onto the Cargo Module to reject heat generated by the spacecraft’s Active Thermal Control System. Beyond Dream Chaser, Paragon designs and manufactures radiators for satellite thermal control (SatRad), launch vehicle cryogenic insulation, high-energy storage system thermal management, high-turndown radiators, and next-generation cooling technologies.
