The ASTROFEIN PicoSatellite Launcher (PSL12U / PSL12U XL) is a flight-proven deployer system capable of accommodating 1U to 12U CubeSats and various combinations thereof. It incorporates non-explosive lock and release mechanisms, ensuring safe and reliable deployment. The system is characterized by its very low power consumption and user-friendly design, allowing for easy resetting. Redundancy is built into both the actuation and deployment confirmation signal for enhanced reliability. A patented fixation system secures the CubeSat in the X, Y, and Z axes during launch, preventing movement. The deployer features a closed envelope for high safety and provides defined deployment energy with a low spin rate for the CubeSats. Deployment is initiated only when the door is completely opened and locked, a process that is also patented. The design offers large clearance for attachments on the CubeSat and includes access ports for maintenance at the launch site. This fully qualified technology has no export restrictions. The PSL12U and PSL12U XL models offer different CubeSat rail lengths to accommodate varying satellite sizes.
