About

The ASTROFEIN ACM Magnetometer is a high-precision device developed in cooperation with Magson GmbH, specifically designed for attitude control in both small and larger satellites. It offers an optimal balance between low mass/size, high data quality, and efficient power consumption. The electronics are fully Mil/space qualified, and all components are available as radiation hard or radiation tolerant. Key features include field calculation with fully calibrated data output, two different measurement modes, and firmware upload capability. The electronics and sensor are qualified according to vibration specifications for Ariane, Delta, and Soyuz launchers, ensuring robustness for space environments. It operates within a range of ±60,000 nT (up to 140,000 nT on request) with a resolution of 100 pT/LSB and a linearity of 0.025%. The device has a design lifetime of 7 years and a storage time of 2 years.
