About
The Radio Complex set RK-SM is designed for use in the on-board radio systems of the Meteor-M spacecraft. It receives signals from ground-based emergency beacons of the international COSPAS-SARSAT system and transmits distress signals to a receiving and processing station. Operating frequency ranges are 402–406 MHz and 1544 MHz, with 0–64 degree communication angle coverage. System mass is 5 kg, comprising receiving antenna, transmitting antenna, and feeder. Released in 2017 with 10-year service life and 6-month delivery time. Adaptable. Flight-qualified on Meteor-M.
