About
The ROCK-2 3U OpenVPX mission computer from Mercury Systems is engineered for demanding, space-constrained mission-critical applications that necessitate flight-safety certification. This modular subsystem comes with comprehensive and reusable Design Assurance Level (DAL) DO-254 and DO-178 artifacts, significantly accelerating the flight-safety certification process. Its architecture is specifically designed to support a mix of safety-critical functions and diverse workloads. Key features include a rugged, compact, and low-power 3U OpenVPX chassis subsystem, certifiable up to DAL-A for DO-178C/DO-254 standards. It can be configured with up to 4x QorIQ™ T2080 processors or optional Intel® Core™ i7 or Xeon® processors. The system provides a full I/O avionics interface, coupled with advanced video and graphics processing capabilities. Housed in a sealed, conduction-cooled chassis, it operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. Furthermore, the ROCK-2 is pre-integrated and pre-qualified to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards, ensuring robust performance in challenging airborne environments.
