S-Band Receiver for HISPICO (Ground Station)

This special receiver equipment is designed to receive, down-convert, demodulate and decode the data transmitted by the HISPICO transmitter aboard a satellite. It can be directly interfaced to the feed of a ground station antenna using LHCP (left-hand circular polarization). Once processed, the received downlink data is transferred to a user PC as UDP packets via an Ethernet interface. In addition to the primary downlink data, the receiver also makes status and telemetry data available. Using an appropriate PC software tool, all received data can be stored for later use, and the telemetry data can be processed and monitored in real time. This equipment forms part of the ground segment infrastructure needed to operate and communicate with satellites using the HISPICO transmitter system.
