About
The SL100x is a fully Software Defined Universal Baseband Demodulator IC ideally suited for custom waveform demodulation, specializing in supporting worldwide terrestrial, cable, radio and TV broadcasting standards. It uses an indigenous Software Defined Radio (SDR) architecture that supports selection of standards through software configuration, meets Tier 1 OEM performance requirements, and is capable of handling large carrier offsets. It features fast channel acquisition and recovery algorithms with blind, decision-directed and trained algorithm modes, and is a field-proven, low footprint, low power device. Interfaces include a flexible input to IF/LIF tuners and digital input, and outputs comprising a parallel digital transport stream interface, AGC outputs for RF and IF stages, CVBS and SIF analog outputs for analog A/V decoding, an I2C interface for programming and waveform download, and JTAG & UART for diagnostics and debug. It supports single carrier and multicarrier (OFDM) modulation schemes including QPSK and 16/32/64/128/256 QAM, and TV/cable/radio standards including ATSC, DVB-T, ISDB-T, DTMB, Clear QAM, DVB-C, ISDB-C, NTSC, PAL, SECAM, FM, DRM, and DAB. It is packaged in a 176-pin LFBGA (12×12 mm) and powered by 3.3V, 2.5V and 1.2V supplies. Applications include tactical radio communication systems, satellite/terrestrial/cable receivers, secure and proprietary baseband waveform demodulation, surveillance and remote monitoring systems, emergency alert and early warning systems, and internal/external A/V receiver modules for tablets.
