About
The Separation Device Clamp Band attaches the spacecraft to the adapter during their joint operation and enables shock-free separation on command from the booster control unit. It withstands up to 9174 kg of stretching force at the spacecraft interface and is retained by a 162–231 kg clamp band retention force. Mass is 0.5 kg. Operating temperature is -100 to +100 °C, with 10+ operational cycles. Released in 2011 with a 6-year service life and 4-month delivery time. Extensive flight heritage on Amos-5, Yamal-300K, Express-AT1/AT2/AM5/AM6/AM8, KazSat-3, Loutch-5V, Yamal-401.
