About
The SFM6126 6U OpenVPX Network Switch Board from Mercury Systems provides efficient, low-latency PCIe switching, making it a key component for forming composable, embedded data center architectures. It is designed for artificial intelligence (AI), sensor fusion, and other big data processing applications. The board features onboard XMC I/O sites and mezzanine switching capabilities, facilitating direct, low-latency PCIe data distribution to CPU, GPU, FPGA, and storage devices, bypassing traditional store-and-forward approaches in CPU memory. When integrated with other EnsembleSeries OpenVPX modules, such as Intel® Xeon® Scalable-powered multifunction modules and powerful GPU co-processors, the SFM6126 delivers rugged, high-performance embedded edge computing for aerospace and defense platforms operating in extreme environments. Key features include full Gen3 PCIe high-bandwidth switching, 16x ports of 10GbE control plane switching, I/O distribution for PCIe data or expansion/sensor planes, transparent or non-transparent port-by-port bridging, dual XMC I/O sites, VITA 46.11 system management, and optional VITA 66 fiber optic interface. It also offers MOTS+ extreme environmental protection and is designed, built, coded, and supported from trusted DMEA facilities.
