About
The Sodern AURIGA CP (Centralized Processing) is a star tracker optical head designed for the smallsat market, with attitude determination software hosted on the spacecraft’s onboard computer. Compatible software library connects via SpaceWire interface. Supports update rates up to 10 Hz and slew rates up to 3 deg/s tracking (1 deg/s acquisition). Precision is 11 arcsec XY with 11/70 arcsec temporal noise. Configurable 35-degree or 26-degree sun exclusion angle. Optional gyro augmentation extends tracking to 4-10 deg/s. Sodern maintains 200 units in permanent stock with less than 2-week lead time. Designed for satellites from 6U upward, with 10-year LEO and 15-year GEO lifetime.
