About
The Sodern HYDRA ACCESS is the most affordable version of the Hydra star tracker range, designed for cost-sensitive missions. Unlike the baseline HYDRA, it has no dedicated electronic unit — the attitude determination software is embedded in the satellite’s onboard computer. Supports up to 3 optical heads connected to the OBC. Batch manufacturing with 8-week delivery enables fast program schedules. Standard testing includes vibration, thermal vacuum, and calibration. Shares the same 2.8 arcsec XY precision and 26-degree sun exclusion angle as the baseline HYDRA, for orbital regimes from LEO to deep space.
