About
The Solar Array Drive Mechanism Type 6 rotates solar array wings, transmits electrical power and telemetry signals, and measures shaft angle. A continuous-rotation electromechanical SADM, it supports 0–24 deg/min output shaft rate (fastest of the Glavkosmos SADM line), 1° angle measurement error, 220 A total current across 8 power circuits, and 11 telemetry circuits. Dimensions 152 × 200 × 290 mm, mass 4.6 kg. Released in 2008, 98,000+ hour operational life, 10-year guaranteed service life, 12-month delivery. Customizable. Flight-qualified.
