About
The Solar Array Mechanical Device consists of deployable solar array wings providing power supply to spacecraft systems. Each wing spans 10 to 44 m² and comprises 2 to 5 panels, with a specific mass ratio of up to 1.5 kg/m². The device supports power outputs up to 25 kW and is designed for all types of spacecraft. It has extensive flight heritage including Amos-5, Yamal-300K, Express-AT1, Express-AT2, Express-AM8, KazSat-3, Loutch-5V, Express-AM5, Express-AM6, Yamal-401, Elektro-L, and Spektr-R. First released in 2007 with a guaranteed service life of 15 years.
