About
Lunar Research Service (LRS) offers hardware testing for extreme environments, evaluating all aspects of structural dynamics including vibration, vibroacoustics, modal characteristics, sound transmission loss, and shock testing. LRS also develops and operates its own small-satellite missions: LRS signed a launch services agreement with Rocket Factory Augsburg AG (RFA) for the LRS 3U satellite, planned for launch in December 2022, featuring a proprietary satellite design and an in-house developed deployment system. Results from this mission are intended to improve LRS’s ground-to-orbit communications and to test a solar concentrator planned for use on an upcoming lunar mission targeted for 2023-2024. Beyond satellite hardware, LRS enables consumer brands to conduct business in the stratosphere, allowing product development in a near-space environment, marketing campaigns from altitudes of 30 km and higher, and orbital product launches; a past example includes a launch with Unit.City. LRS positions itself as powering NewSpace companies broadly, working with clients such as Aerobavovna, an unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer.
