About
SPEKTREYE is an RF Spectrum Monitoring payload designed by Syrlinks for Cube/Nano satellites to meet growing demand for RF sensing and surveillance, particularly suited to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) missions around 500/700 km. The unit performs spectrum monitoring in wideband and/or narrowband mode and integrates a System-on-Chip processor acting as a software defined radio, offering digital signal processing features such as channelizers and periodogram. A built-in mass memory allows storage of mission data, either raw I/Q samples or post-processed data, with RSSI-based operations available to optimize use of storage capacity. An optional X-band transmitter enables mission data downlink, operating in the 8,025–8,400 MHz frequency range with typical RF output power of 2 W, supporting different modulations and coding schemes according to CCSDS standards. Power supply can vary between 6 and 18 V, with total power consumption around 15 W typical for 2 W RF output power. Onboard ‘electronic fuses’ switch off power lines in case of latch-up or over-current events caused by space radiation. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +45°C. Multiple interface formats are supported, including LVDS for data and clock signals, and UART or I2C for command and control. The product is in production and offered in a CubeSat-compatible form factor.
