About
The Teledyne Defence & Space Flexible Channeliser features flexible channel frequency allocation and integrated channel filtering for satellite payload applications. It was selected by OneWeb for its global LEO satellite constellation, with two flexible channelisers required per satellite across a fleet of approximately 900 small satellites in low earth orbit — representing a contract for approximately 1,800 units. The product integrates frequency conversion and filtering into a compact, power-efficient payload unit, for which Teledyne won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2020: Innovation. Designed for high-volume space production, the Flexible Channeliser delivers broadband internet access infrastructure from orbit, representing Teledyne’s core space payload expertise in ITAR-free microwave solutions. The design enables each OneWeb satellite to provide flexible broadband coverage by dynamically allocating bandwidth across multiple user beams using the channeliser’s configurable frequency plan.
