About

Teledyne Defence & Space Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) are designed to amplify very low power signals while minimising noise addition, ensuring critical signal information is preserved in the amplification process. Unlike standard amplifiers that increase both signal and noise power equally, the LNA architecture is specifically optimised to minimise the noise figure contribution, essential in space and radar applications where extremely weak signals must be recovered with high fidelity. Teledyne’s LNAs are primarily suited to airborne, maritime, ground-based radar systems and space payload front-ends, developed using advanced semiconductor technologies including GaAs, InP and GaN to achieve best-in-class noise performance. Applications include satellite receiver front-ends, ground station LNBs, radar receivers, and EW front-ends. All LNA design work is carried out in the UK, enabling a non-ITAR capability. Teledyne custom-designs LNAs to customer specifications across L through Ka-band frequencies.
