About

These ultra-black coatings are specifically engineered to suppress non-information radiation on the lens components of advanced optoelectronic space systems. They are effective within the spectral range of 0.42-2.5 microns, ensuring optimal performance for sensitive space-based optical instruments. The coatings boast a low spectral reflectance ratio of 0.5 – 1.0 %, minimizing unwanted reflections. They can be applied to parts with coverage areas ranging from 150 – 1000 cm² and are compatible with aluminum and titanium alloys. The coating thickness is between 40 – 60 microns, and they are designed for an active lifetime of 15 years in the space environment. The product was released in 2013.
