About

The MT-B is a bipropellant liquid rocket engine featuring a single, regeneratively cooled thrust chamber. It operates on an open-cycle, gas generator fed system. This engine was specifically developed as the propulsion system for the second stage of the Tronador TII-250 launch vehicle. The thrust chamber’s manufacturing process combined additive technology with electroforming. The manufacturer, VENG, has extensive experience in developing liquid rocket engines, including Hydrazine/Nitric Acid and LOx/Kerosene propellants, for various launcher prototypes such as TI, T4000, VEx 1A, Vex1B, and VEx5A. VENG is also the prime contractor for the design of the Tronador II series launcher engines, covering the entire propulsion value chain from requirements definition to design, simulation, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and integration.
