About
The VLSI System-in-Package (SiP) microcircuit is engineered for integration into civil navigation equipment. Its primary function is to receive and process signals from various Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), including GLONASS L1OF, L1OC; GPS C/A L1; and GALILEO E1B, E1C, as well as SBAS L1 and DCMS L1OC, to solve navigation problems. The microcircuit offers several key capabilities, such as the ability to select a source for firmware downloads, verify software integrity, and configure interfaces based on the specific location, control object, and task requirements. It also supports autonomous testing of its individual internal blocks and provides debugging capabilities for firmware. The chip’s architecture includes a radio frequency path comprising an LNA, SAW filter, amplifier with AGC, and ADC. It features a digital navigation processor built around a RISC Cortex-M3 CPU, equipped with a wide array of interfaces. Additionally, it incorporates a hardware and software “quick search machine” with 36 correlation channels, high-speed RAM, a real-time clock, a second time marker, and 8 Mb of flash memory. The product was released in 2015 and has a guaranteed service life of 3 years. It is not flight-qualified, and adaptation to customer requirements is not possible.
