Active in this field since 1994, SPACEBEL has become a leading European company, addressing various technology domains such as satellite operational simulators for mission control, software validation facilities, numerical modelling of the space environment, and emulators for on-board processors (e.g., 1750, Erc32, Leon, Arm). Their simulation modelling platforms adhere to relevant standards like Simulation Model Portability SMP2 and ECSS E40-07 SMP. SPACEBEL is also the developer of CNES simulation platforms, including BASILES and VTS products, and offers additional mission operations tools like PrestoTools (including PrestoPlot®) for Telemetry/Telecommand and data decoding. The company possesses extensive experience with other simulation modelling frameworks such as Matlab/Simulink (Mathworks), SIMSAT (ESA), EuroSim (Airbus DS), and SimTG (Airbus DS). This includes expertise in space systems software verification, validation, maintenance, and qualification methods/tools, Software Validation Facilities (SVF), Training, Operation & Maintenance Simulators (TOMS), Hardware in the Loop Configurations, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). They also develop emulators and avionics software for ERC32, LEON & LEON 2/3, ARM, and full on-board computers with devices like 1553, OBDH, SpW, UART. In-house and third-party simulation frameworks and tools include BASILES, VTS, and PrestoTools (PrestoPlot®). SPACEBEL has delivered simulators for numerous successful ESA and CNES missions, including Proteus, Proba, Hera, Pleiades, CSO, Ceres, Swot, Svom, Metop-sg, Euclid, Mtg, and Altius. They are also active members of standardization and advisory groups, including the ECSS E40-07 SMP working group, promoting model exchanges.
