Wrapped Rib
The Oxford Space Systems Wrapped-Rib antenna is a deployable Cassegrain, centre fed antenna designed for low Earth orbit (LEO), X-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications.
About
The Wrapped-Rib antenna from Oxford Space Systems is a deployable Cassegrain, centre fed antenna that aims to be the go-to antenna for low Earth orbit (LEO), X-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications. This antenna is scalable from 3m to 5m diameter and utilises a high-performance metal-mesh reflector surface. Key features include its stowage efficiency, low mass, and tuneable and scalable design. It offers single-shot deployment and includes a central hub, carbon-fibre based lenticular “ribs” to support the reflector surface, and a deployable composite secondary reflector and mast. The antenna is designed for spotlight mode imaging.
