About
This X-band transmit/receive antenna is a mirror-type reflector antenna designed to form the required service area for a spacecraft communications link, radiate and receive signals within the X-band operating frequency range, and provide polarization selection of received signals along with the required polarization of radiated signals. Its reflector and load-bearing base are constructed from polymeric composite material, giving a lightweight structure with a 600 mm aperture diameter and overall antenna dimensions of 900×770 mm at a mass of only 6.9 kg. The antenna achieves an absolute gain of no less than 31.4 dB along the directional diagram axis, with an rms deviation of the reflecting surface profile not exceeding 0.4 mm under utilization conditions — ensuring high-fidelity RF performance for data-relay and Earth observation downlink applications. The product is not yet flight-qualified but can be adapted to customer requirements, making it suitable for integration into new X-band communications and remote-sensing spacecraft payloads.
