YAGI ANTENNA
The Oxford Space Systems Yagi is a very high frequency (VHF), high gain, directional antenna, designed to maximise stowage efficiency for satellite AIS and VDES missions.
About
The Oxford Space Systems Yagi is a very high frequency (VHF), high gain, directional antenna, designed to maximise stowage efficiency. Yagi antennas are primarily designed to meet the requirements of satellite Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) and VHF Data Exchange System (VDES) missions providing maritime tracking services. Utilising effective design features from other Oxford Space Systems products, such as helical deployment springs, the Yagi antenna also takes advantage of novel, origami inspired engineering techniques. Key features include stowage efficiency, RF range testing, and flight heritage. It is tuneable and scalable, offers single shot deployment, and has low complexity.
