Liquid-Propellant Low-Thrust Thrusters
Yuzhnoye SDO develops and manufactures a family of liquid-propellant low-thrust thrusters incorporated into spacecraft attitude control and orbit correction propulsion systems. These thrusters generate thrust by expelling nitrogen tetroxide and UDMH propellant through a supersonic nozzle and have been flight-proven on Cyclone-3, Cyclone-4, and Okean-O missions across over 100 successful launches. The product line includes […]

About
Yuzhnoye SDO develops and manufactures a family of liquid-propellant low-thrust thrusters incorporated into spacecraft attitude control and orbit correction propulsion systems. These thrusters generate thrust by expelling nitrogen tetroxide and UDMH propellant through a supersonic nozzle and have been flight-proven on Cyclone-3, Cyclone-4, and Okean-O missions across over 100 successful launches. The product line includes the Cyclone-4 thruster (30 N, 30,000 guaranteed ignitions, 5,600 s total run time), Cyclone-3 thrusters (30 N and 100 N variants, 1,300 ignitions, 200 s run time), and the Okean-O thruster (30 N, 50,000 guaranteed ignitions, 3,600 s total run time). All variants have completed full qualification testing including climatic, mechanical, firing, and endurance tests. Supply voltage is 28 V across all models.
